Eating Good, Feeling Good. Announcing a Bimonthly Event.

Starting this month of May, I'm planning to launch this new bimonthly Foodie Event: Eating Good Feeling Good.

Some of you already know that I started a diet back in January. Being a Foodie, it's been a bit harder but less than expected. I discovered how easy it is to follow healthy habbits and achieve great results! Since I started I lost 5 kilos gradually and combining an hypocaloric diet with some exercise.

So, this is what the Event will be about: Eating healthy, fresh, seasonal and variated food. This is not a diet though, it's only a bunch of rules and good habbits to eat properly and at the same time enjoy meals.

The idea is to talk and post about every single food on the Food Pyramid. Also, and having in mind that I live by the Mediterranean, I'll give you a list of the seasonal products and some recipes that can be performed using those products. I'm really excited about this new project and hope that you will be there participating and enjoying it with me ♥.

Marinated Sardines with veggies

Why am I loving raw food so much lately? Is it because the less agressively we treat fresh ingredients, the best we get out of them?

These old systems to preserve food such as: marinating, smoking, salting... are being so wise and so careful with the food. I'm liking them a lot!

This recipe is really easy and tasteful but (if there is a but) takes a bit of time. Properly speaking is not raw food... it's been marinated first and macerated after; and the process takes 6 hours. Once you are through this, preparing the dish takes nothing.

Cold Spaguetti and Avocado Salad

Let everything you are doing aside, please; pay full attention to this recipe/post! Still don't know what to do today for dinner? Pleaseeeeee, notice that this recipe is one of the easiest and fastest and "deliciousnest" you will find in the net!

Let's see, do you have a lemon, an avocado, a garlic clove, 1 cayenne red dry pepper, frozen boiled prawns, spaguettis, olive oil and salt? There you are! No need for anything else :D.

True Blood

Will you let me seduce you with... True Blood? No need to be a vampire, no need to be pale and with night preferences. Just follow my rules here and you will have the fuel you need to live... forever... or maybe not ;D.

Now that there's such a renewed interest for Vampires... I must addmit I have some kind of weakness with the idea of immortality, sun alergy and blood drinking! Let's imagine we had the chance to choose... would you take that path? I wonder if I would... well, maybe if Bill Compton was the one...

Octopus over confited Calçot, Potatoes and Romesco sauce

Is Mediterranean diet the best choice for your health? Yes, without any doubt!!! Take this dish as an example: it has Octupus (some sea proteins), potatoe (some tubercle), calçot or green onion (healthy vegetables), romesco sauce ( extra virgin olive oil, garlic, nuts, peppers...); an amazing compendium!

Chickpeas, Spinachs and Blood Catalan Sausage

This is one of those dishes that takes you 10 minutes to prepare if you use canned chickpeas and bagged spinachs; but if you want to boil your own chickpeas and clean the spinachs leaves... it takes much more!

So, this is up to you. Are you in a hurry? Try this dish! Do you have the whole afternoon for you? Then do it the old, slow way and try the dish too ;D.
